Never tried that. I bet that puts a nice tang into the mix. What type of mustard? I got at least 5 and they are all very different flavor profiles. Now I really gotta go start a batch of sprouts. The craving is strong and the sandwich is not right without them. I usually do 80% alfalfa and 20% radish for a bit of kick.

Always wanted to try one of these but I already got too much stuff and not enough space. I use the jar method like sourshoes. Simple and works using a multi purpose jar.

Interesting sourshoes, I had no idea labs could be used with fpe as well. I though fpe was just equal weights of plant material and sugar and that's it.

If you're using dry meals, sprouts or store bought plant material you can use labs.

There's a good read online you can check out if interested. Using google you'll find it

Harvested about 15 liters on worm castings tonight. Trying to revive my bin it's slowed down and worms aren't as plentiful. Some peat and malted barely was added.

Its been freezing here for weeks. -10c today and checked the compost bin for a laugh and I'll be damned... The worms are going nuts. I broke a frozen top layer and below was a honey hole. I grabbed a bunch in a bucket and I'm starting a new bin. I'm convinced this is the best thing for an organic garden and its bloody expensive to buy.

Tossed in a new bin with shredded paper, peat, and some compost and covered with cardboard. See if they settle in. Didn't want to risk disrupting my other bin. Can't hurt to try!
