don't take off fan leaves if you can avoid it, try to lightly lst them, tie them up a bit
then when that is not possible anymore then it's ok to remove fan leaves but always try to do as much as possible in veg offcourse.
also i saw some1 say remove 2..3 a day and i like that as you dont give the plant a bunch of stress at once but just a little bit which they can recover from easier and quicker.
but this is just my personal opinion offcourse.

Keep the leaves on until they wither, regardless if they cover buds. You'll find buds won't grow as big otherwise.

What Mark1212 just said. ^^^ Fan leaves feed from the top down, so when we take off top fan leaves, we don't get the correct feeding. JMO

fan leaves are used to absorb energy from your light source... just because buds aren't getting as much sun as canopy doesn't mean they aren't growing properly.. now what happens is your plant uses its energy to repair itself from the damage...so it doesn't mean it wont grow,,but now its stunted its growth..you should only remove damaged leaves an yellowing leaves.. you'll be good but you just slowed down the process a bit.

been a while since posted any pictures but here are some.
noticed room temp was at 19c last week so been monitoring.
put small heater outside tent at weekend and it comes on at lights off.
temp is stable light on and off at 25c and humidity also stable at 35%
went in tonight to get few pictures.

am glad I removed the bigger fan leaves as to buds are really starting to fill out now and theres 3/4 weeks left on her yet
