    Default Quick carbon filter question

    Merry Christmas all,
I have a 4" carbon filter with a flow rate of 410m3 and a woefully underpowered fan at 184m3.
Can I use a 5" fan with a flow rate of 420m3 and a reducer as the flow rates are in the same ball park?
    Muchos Gracia's!

I would say 410 m3 and 420 m3 are splitting hairs somewhat. Personally I would not sweat over it.

The drag of the carbon filter will reduce the fans efficiency in the range of 20% - You'll be fine with your 5" fan
