    Default Molasses questions guys

Okay I have a litre of nortem bio molasses, specific for cannabis (probably just plain old molasses) either way can someone confirm if this has any benefit in coco? My coco has also been potted up using tnc mycorr max containing different micros and thricoderma, minus the mycorr would molasses have any benefit in coco at all? Would it benefit thricoderma? Can't seem to find a definite answer on this anywhere but considering most nute companies use molasses in there ferts/boosters I don't understand hey this wouldn't work, I think I have asked this sort of question in another thread a while back, anyone tried this before in coco? Treated coco?

I have asked the same question before.
Was recomnded to use 1 tblsp per galon of feed. Make sure its blackstrap molasses.
Says to help. Some people flush with it. It contains N P K and a whole lot more... Make sure you dont overfeed..

I know it works in soil, it feeds the microbes that release nutrients into the soil, not so sure about Coco. As long as the molasses is unsulphured it is fine.

Seems to me that from everything I've read you have less wiggle room with nutes and PH when growing in coco. In my experience it's rare, when using a good soil, that there is any need for micro nutes and amino acids. Though coco does has some advantages, just a little more labor intensive. I like to plant and water once once a week, other than that I rarely look at them until they start flowering.

Molasses will only work when you have a microbial population in your media, this can be achieved with coco but I would add something like earth worm castings to the mix at the beginning, also if you use to high of a npk phosphorus specifically it will hamper the microbial life, same with acids like ph down, you could use a mulch top layer as a food source to keep the microbes happy.
I use TNC microbes in my hydroponic systems too

Molasses will work great in coco,it will make your buds look like they have been coated in crystals and give you a slightly sweeter smoke, anyone that tells you otherwise has not tried it,or they have made a mess of it.
I used to dissolve a tablespoon of black treacle in a cup of boiling water, let it cool and pour it into a small 330ml bottle and top up with tap water, each time you make up feed add 10ml of that to your feed.
Try do it with one plant and compare it to another after harvest, see the difference for yourself!

You should try it,even on one plant don't take someone elses word for it,I done a lot of research before I started growing.
I used to get asked if I had coated the buds in something due to the amount of crystals they pack on,it also contains magnesium and calcium, and its cheap!!
