    Default Smells Query

So,have just finished drying and now in the jars for the cure. While growing this plant, ive battled with the smell since early flower, always a faint smell of weed in the room, actually, sometimes it's been pretty strong all around upstairs,(will be looking into getting a new filter for my next grow.) But when she got the chop and had it hanging to dry in the tent, hardly any smells have escaped the tent....The thing is,the buds are still absolutely reeking! (took about 5mins to jar up yet the whole house now smells like the Dam!) So how come the filter has 'worked' better during drying and yet struggled during the grow? Anyone else have this issue?

Do you have the buds in a jar in a groom with a fan controller? If so then, as your lights are probably off, the fan is probably just idling

No,the fan was still on when I was hanging/drying,now they're in jars,no fan needed obviously. But even though they were stinking while drying,no smells outside the tent at all. I know humidity can be an issue while growing if it is too high and will stop your CF from working but humidity never went over 65 while growing.....Proper has me stumped this one.

Just a cheap plug fan controller to turn up/down speed, fan runs 24/7 while growing/drying.

I had some weed that stank through my jars once. The only place I could keep it was in my groom with the extractor fan on

    Funny you should say this.

I had a cheap Fox filter and swapped it out for a Rhino Pro as it just wasn't controlling the smell.

I now use it in my drying tent and have no odour leaks at all.

The key difference, I think, is that the Fox was being extracted by a beefy RAM fan (probably running no higher than half power) and now it's on a cheap inline Orchid thing and the quantity of air being pulled is much less and probably going through the Fox filter much more slowly.

Which is a long way around agreeing with M_C.

The seals are a bit time limited IMHO but you can purchase new ones - but stuff like Chiesle stinks regardless of what it's in
