    Default Answered: Vegging under t5

Hi I’ve just ordered a 1.2 x1.2m tent to do a bit of verging I was going to use t5 lights as I have some and thought it would be easy to keep the light down. I was going to build a shelf so I can increase my space and let the plants get bigger before I flower. Is this a bad idea? What I intake outtake would I need? I was thinking a 4inch and 6 inch extractor the less/cheaper the better. Also how much light should I put on each level? I usually just veg under my hps in flower room. I will still Pulitzer them under 400w hps for maybe two weeks before I flower. Any advice appreciated still very new to growing but loving it. Thanks

Why u want hps before flower? I tried MH for first 14 days flower current go it reduced stretch...

And last i was thinking you should calculate cfms not ducting diamater... I use a 6" @530cfm exhaust on 1.2 sqm space.. filter is 700 cfm

Also I meant build a shelf out of wire mesh exactly half way up the tent to create two 1.2 x 1.2 x1 1m space.

Cheers mate. The reason I was going to use t5 is because I wanted to put a light on the top and underneath the shelf. I don’t own a meh and I thought 2 hps would make it too hot? Is this just a silly idea? Should I just use 1 hps and forget the shelf

    Gotcha.
I guess youre good with your hands mate i would worry about second floor not being strong enough. Wouldnt want it colide on first floor...

But with 4 meter high.... I would think the same way pal using that space... Make sure those legs are super fucking tight .. i dont get the mesh screen u want it to be the floor? As long as you can make that second floor steady, and it can carry the weight of your pots... Thats avg 10kg per wet pot? Never weighed only my hands can estimate.. well as long as it can carry the weight i would just bother on proper ventilation... 600w cooltubed in a 1.2m sqm no worries about heat if outside is lower than 20c.. i run 1000w now in a smiliar space.. its hard af to go over 25 lol...
