Think that's what I'll do I'll run the 150w for the first 3 weeks (just popped a seed in there) the switch to the 6" and keep the 5" as my intake which should give me negative pressure, cheers mate,
let's see how successful I am after 3 years heard it's like riding a bike

No man, just one 9" outtake and one 9" regular fan, all open, no smell device. Temps hit 100 to 104F some times, when weather is cooler down to around 95F.

The problem here is we have A summer like winter. This whole week the lows are 65 and highs are 75, so my tent is running at 100F this morning at lights out, so it will cool down until lights on tonight. In about 7 days from now, it will be in the 50 and 40F for the lows, so tent will cool down with lights on around 95. Not much I can do about this Florida weather. Doesn't seem to bother the plants, if it does, it isn't visible to the naked eye.

While this is still hanging around am I right in thinking for hps setup you need ballast, bulb, reflector? For a budget setup is this acceptable? Or something similar. Then grab a bulb?

    LUMii Black- Digital Dimmable 600w

Yeah, I've found kits for either one. Just looking atm. I'm thinking the 1000 watt.
Hotshot my room is indoors with my air intake pulling from a air conditioned room and my exhausts is dumping outside and with 2 led lights going I'm hitting 85
Idk might have to look at other options if hps is going to run my room hotter than 85 even being an air cooled hood

Yep spot on, I think I might even have the same ballast..would need to double check (not that it matters lol) but yep, it's all you really need mate..bulbs, ballast, reflector and you're good to go

Thanks man, reckon you'd get a 150 actual watt led and a dimmable 600 hps bulb in a 1x1x1.8? I imagine it would get pretty hot. Will be ditching the tent after this grow I reckon and making it a 6L x3W x7H foot room instead so even if its overkill now will come in handy later on.

Haha only 4", I put a 300w cfl in there today and temp went to 27c which I don't mind, will go down, read a few threads from someone saying led like slightly higher temp. So is that the main issue with hps, the heat?

Jeeez man LOL...yeahh you'll burn the plants 100%, you're gonna need double that I'd say (8")..and yep, HID lights (HPS & MH) put out a lot of heat for sure.
