    Just plain water? Would that do something to the plants or no. Or do you mean pH balanced water? Sorry, don't know much about the whole process.

    I will keep that in mind, but for the soil blocks can you only use soil? Also I am not familiar with the term cultivars so I don't know how to answer your question. I have only just started to feed my plants nutrients, the first week I have only used pH balanced water because I didn't trust feeding to early.
