Led + cfl

I've got a ish150 LED (actual is 140 i think) and I've got 4 plants growing in 12 ltr pots and 4 growing in 1 ltr pots. I took the heater out and put a 300w ( plugged in to watt meter it says 222w) dual spec cfl in and the temp is around 24c. If I can get away with it heat wise I've got another 125w dual cfl which I'm guessin is maybe 100w? I'll put in.

Tent is 1x1x1.8, rvk100L with a variac controller. What I would like to know is could I get away with putting 2 of the 1ltr pots in to 12 ltr pots so I have 6x12 ltr and 2x1 ltr, would the added cfl provide enough light for decent growth in flower or would 6 decent size pots in that space be no good at all anyway? Got enough floor space for pots and the 4 12 ltr pots are all lst'd. Pots are fabric, think you can just dunk it in without removing from the 1ltr pot? Could be wrong.

The problem (IMHO) is that the CFLs need to be closer than the LEDs... surely the CFL will create a shadow with the LED?

I was gonna run 2 vertically on each side, if the heat can take it. I know what you're saying about distance, had them 1-2 inch away when I started using them 1st time. Thought if I can take the heater out and put a cfl in for heat it would be more beneficial given that it gives off more light than a heater

. The wires aren't as perilous as they look and the 4 1ltr pots on the right aren't staying there, just needed them out the way. Still need to do some jiggin around

The cfls give off 0.5umol per watt

Samsung leds 2.5 umol per watt

Conclusion, the cfls are good heaters

Like M_C said dont block the good light, as you have it and you will be fine.

A 400w hps be golden here

I did think about a hps but it would bake in that tent wouldn't it? with the 2 cfl temp goes to 27c which I'm good with, I reckon with led alone temp may go as low as 20-21c, maybe lower, it's hit 22 with the heater on. Is it worth spendin 70-80 to find out? lol damn it... Or did you mean a 400 hps instead of the led?
