Lightbulb Why do you choose photo or auto plants

For me I have only grown photo plants for a couple of reasons and 1st and 2nd are tied ,1st Is I'm to feared of missing a autos growth windows in that I mean I can veg a photo Indefinatly thru good and the bad times ,I'm talking deficiencies or other set backs ,and I feel I can flip them when I'm happy they are in good health without it compromising or missing growth periods that I feel is vital more so with autos to fulfill their potential ,so I'm saying basically a photo is far more forgiving ,the second is solely financial as I run hps and 24/7 hps isn't cheap ,I used to have reasons 3 and 4 which was potency and yield ,now with today's autos 3 and 4 are no longer relevant however I feel 1 and 2 still are

I've just thought of a reason for autos as ideal if you only have the single space for veg and flower

For me, convenience. double day shifts just aren't really 12/12 friendly

Good question Sad, and good idea for a thread

I love both..more control and can be much more forgiving with photos as you say and excellent results can be had...autos can be fun and no mucking about with light periods, with quality results especially these days

I like autos and stick to 24/7 lights. If I turn em off temps drop too much. In summer that will change. Light leaks with photos scare me. I like being able to feed em whenever I like too.

It's an easy choice for me, whichever seeds I can get my hands on, lol.

I do prefer photo's though. I like to be able to use up all of the limited space I have and the leccy bill is less when running 12/12.

Yeah in the end all that matters is that I can get her over the finish line

For me it was where I grow at first. Cold in the garage so lights being on 24/0 was the reason. Now I'm set up tho I am looking at running photos in the summer and autos in winter. But I feel like I'd be starting again from scratch with a photo and it's scares me haha
