    Pretty sure this isn't splash back now, after inspection last night and finding the little bug hiding in the new growth am agreeing on thrips...to the naked eye didn't really look look the pic but close enough to say yeah, okay so best way of treating is going to be predators or pest strips? Damage is still contained within the one set of leaves but sadly one if the autos Is suffering too now on one leaf (new growth) will plant friendly soap not work? Or since its early stages of growth some sort of plant friendly repellent?

    Provanto food grade bug killer? For use on flowers and edible fruits, gets rid of all pests including thrips and mites?

    Another option is this ;

    Obviously this a systemic insecticide so read up on it so you're fully informed before deciding on how to proceed

    I suppose this early on wouldn't really be very harmful would it? I found them hot shot strips but at £34.99 so verrrrrry steep, so far am not seeing any new places as of yet...I do have sticky traps in place because of a minor gnat problem too...maybe 2-3 caught a day on the trap so nothing major (I hope) cheers for all the info again ice man
