I've been wondering if I am wasting to much time vegging? Should I run a short veg? I'm use to 8 weeks plus. should I do 4 weeks and flip. I've read adding/subtracting 2 weeks veg time drastically changed yields by most say double. Truth to that I have no clue.
I need some folks to chime in, and let your experience be heard. I want to know the pros and cons as you guys experienced it.

Think the max I have ever veged for has been just over 6 weeks. Thats been with 4 plants in a 1.5x1.5x2m space. Place was tight like lol

At 4 weeks veg, would it be worth looking at growing 12/12?

I used to do 6-8 weeks. With time got better and a 4 weeks plant would look like a 6-7 weeker of past times... 25c, 60-70 rh, 400/600w metal halide, ph 5.8 and ec of 0.6 to 1.0 is my go to for vegging.. first 10-14 days i do with any cheap led or cfl.

Anyway controling the flowering phase will get you more yields than a month more of vegging..

And you could always do a bit more plants in smaller pots.

Cheers mate hope that helps a bit

I've done only one 8 week veg, mostly do just the 35 to 42 days, seems to be plenty for me.

ive vegged until they've sexed. and ive vegged until about 3 inches tall... both produced about the same on an un-cropped plant... you're final weight is going to depend more on how you flower. trimming,fimming,cropping,super-cropping... and other alike techniques... look into kyle kushmans plant chiropractic... its a sure fire way to incre3ase your yield.

So to find out if I like a short veg and have some fun I threw a bean in from my white widow that got a few lower branches knocked up from a very stressed white lsd.
Genetics are a toss up and will it be a he or a she, maybe another hermie. Time will tell.

With our 1st run of photos we did 8 weeks at 18/6. With this 2nd run we experimented, and ran them for 6 weeks at 20/4 before we flipped them. They pretty much look the same, and i dont have any plants crashing into my lights.
We just switched to dry koolbloom, so the end yield in these last 2 weeks will be the ultimate decider. I'm fairly confident it will be around the same. If so, it will probably be 6 weeks at 20/4 from here on out.
