I'm starting to think I should go for something that offers more power than I'll need, but can be dialed back. That should generally result in higher efficiency (less heat) and longer driver/led life, yeah? And probably some peace of mind; very concerned about electrical safety. I live in a tinder box...
I've got my eyes on a specific light based on its specs and a ppfd test video done in the same size tent I'll be using, but the test results were at full power. Is there a way to calculate the reduction in ppfd at given test points if I were to reduce power of the light by 100W? Or is it not that simple. I'm trying...
