Very mixed reviews on this then, I wasn't planning on doing it my self, the cold water flush maybe yeah but stem splitting made me question what it would actually do for the plant, I'm still getting the basics of plant anatomy and there's just so many things and opinion people swear by, suppose it's all down to preference really, will be reading up on them threads out of curiosity, as surely even if there was a increase in yield surely it would only be minor at best

After a bit of reading seems like this may be more a option to do before flower...possibly disturbing the hormones in the plant would induce more flowering sites at a faster rate? Sort of like giving the plant a boost to use up stored auxins? Could someone correct me if I'm wrong here please

If it was worth doing we'd all be doing it already

I drilled holes through stems in the past but no discernible difference that I could tell

I split stems on a bunch once around 10 days before cut. The buds on some were super crystl but that was an accident dropping a fuck off bin on them. I wouldnt fancy doing it though

i saw several people who tried and the results where in the grey area...some said it worked and some said it didn't...but the same goes with ice water and putting them in the dark for 48h etc..

I split a plant once straight down the middle, and it grew fine, but I didnt notice any difference in yield or growth

I agree with this. However if you want to become a Pokemon master you need to play around sometimes. If you have 5 or 6 plants, maybe just try on one of them

When i flip to 12/12 i dont touch them! They just stay in their alien feed autowater pots and stay happy. I never heard of this method but its interesting if it works.

But personally i think this stresses the plant a lot and yields are lost..
