Take some paper towels with rubbing alcohol or vinegar or just sterile alcohol pads if you got some are the best... clean the bulb, let sit couple mins make sure all liquids evaporated and connect again... light should be brighter and no smell .. smell is probably cuz the bulb burning something... so clean it well

ps dont touch with bare hands.. use a clean towel to hold the bulb... wipe anywhere your skin has touched the bulb...

Thanks alot for that, its probably dust sitting in the connector from the ballast or the bulb like you say. Ordered sterile alcohol pads to rectify. Thanks again
