    Default 200w CFL

I currently have 6 seedlings that are sat in 600ml pots under a 200w CFL.

How long would I be able to keep them under the CFL as it's so much cheaper to run than the Metal Halide 600w

Not being a photo guy, I would have thought you could use the CFL until you want to flower?

I only know through experience I had 5 clones veg around 5 under a 450 watt CFL in 8L pots so quite a while. I usually switch them to HPS a week before flower get them adjusted to the new light etc. Hope that helps.

I only have the one CFL and don't think it would be enough to cover them once moved to larger pots...

I was possibly thinking a week or so until I move to bigger pots
    ...

If they were autos, I'd be saying throw the CFL in the trash

    I've only ever done photos.
Been growing me own for about 2yr now and still consider myself a complete novice.
Over those 2yrs I have learnt a lot, and mostly from support on this forum...
I have tried and tested different things and turns out my most successful grow was my first.
    Lol

Might try autos in the future. But for now I will stick to what I know...

you can keep them under those lamps to veg for several weeks but do remember that those lights almost have no depth/light penetration
Turning the plants now and then so the light can reach every spot is adviced. (specially when they get bigger and fuller)

    personal opinion btw
