Default Answered: Grow timer for led??

I'm used to using 6 way timer relays for my hps grows..
But now I have a shit ton of leds..

My leds are all 200watt but plug into one another so 1 unit is 800 watt
I have 3 led rows so will be running 2400watt of led

Reading online it says less dont require a much to start up and can use just a timer. But they all reference to 200watt pannels and 280watt UFOs.

Does my 2400watt setup need a contactor relay timer ?
What timer can I use to be 100% safe cause I'm assuming a 6wat green timers going to be overkill right ? Or is it just safe to spend the unnecessary extra cash on it ?

While leds consume less watts, they present as inductive loads so the need fairly robust timers / relays.

With you having 12 units, i would use more than one timer, at least one per string ( daisy chain )
