I think you are correct. You locked them out with low PH. Sounds like you took the right steps to correct. And like MC said. We talk in EC, not volume.

LOL - as you see, we need both

You are feeding at EC 0.4 over a 0.4 base - that seems a bit shy for photos? (I grow autos, the EC tends to be lower!) - if so, it would start to explain some of the problems... have you measured the EC of the run off? My guess is that it'll come out at around EC 0.5 - 0.4 for the tap water & 0.1 for remaining feed

Very useful info MC, yeah that's bang on, only one plant is a photo though, the rest are autos, so if the 0.4 off my tap water stays the same does that mean they can't use any of the calcium that's in the background ec? Don't get me wrong I have been adding it anyway as the northern lights auto was showing cal deficiency (I think) so started adding it as a precautionary

With a background EC of 0.4, I'd be suprised if you needed much magcal... but I'm not really up with LEDs & their extra needs

But, if your run off EC is too low then you risk having an 'everything' deficiency It would be similar to someone (who isn't fat!) surviving on an 800 calorie diet

Thanks again for the info MC, ph pen is now buffered, new ec is 1.0 and ph in at 5.8....hopefully this will solve it, the added magnecal was to boost the northern lights, as you can see in the picture it's really suffering from what I assume is cal deficiency, but this is only my 2nd grow to still getting the basics right, to be honest though they where doing fine under the CFL and HPS but I guess with my PH being off for a good few feeds it's now caught up with them I assume?

PH can be sorted fairly rapidly... but it may take a few days to show. Always watch the new growth
