The flush clears nutes from the medium and the plant uses up what's left in the greenery so leaves eventually turn yellow just before you chop.

Bud size should stay roughly the same but the trichomes should begin to mature as you go through the flush and the plant should naturally turn paler in colour.

I find that when I begin the flush the plants become hungry very quickly after depleting anything that may be left in the medium, it usually becomes very colourful in the room as leaves fade to yellow/purple whilst the calyx finish swelling and a final layer of thc oozes from your ladies every oraface.

With the gorilla zkittles I've been working on this last year I always get to see some lovely pink/purple hues develop as she makes her final push .
