Nearly there, with the groom and the pic thing, apologies I'm useless! I have to fit the filter up at height and I'm away.

Getting beans is proving a bit of a mare, it's official, you can't function without a CC.

Going to get a grill for the extract hole, tidy it up a bit.

How big is your area to grow in mate. Looks pretty tight, especially if that's a HPS bulb

A cool tube/hood may be slightly more suited...

It's 3ftx 3ftx3ft, it's not far off the volume of groom the kit came with years back. 250 hps and I'll be doing 12/12 from seed so they wont be big. Worried about heat but I'm more or less housebound (not that bad but close) so I'll be nurturing throughout. I did struggle with heat last time but conditions are different this time and will be cooler.

I guess it is a bit tight but I have to go with it and try and get a coolhood later on. I've got a few weeks while i'm getting organized and germed.

3ft high?...sorry but take out the hps lamp unit physical size ,then pot height and thatll leave you approx 6inches in which to grow a plant.

the heat will be nuts, and dare i say it, a potential fire hazard to boot.

no mention of filtering but if youre going to be expelling massive heat through filter thatll die very quickly as well.

theres a few micro grows in talk, but everything has been toned down in those, personally i think you need to have a rethink chap, maybe a led lamp etc.,else youll just be wasting beans n lectric etc for no result other than a very hot ,and likely smelly, cupboard.

    good luck whatever chap.

So long as he's not expecting to put a 600w lamp in, there should be room.... I know Sunmaster do a 150w bulb. I had a student use one once in a similar size groom... and filter can always go outside the groom

    Thanks mate

I'm doing 12/12 from seed, the last time I did it I wound up with a couple of nice little plants, not a foot high. I've got room for that I'm sure. I may look into 250w CFL then if the heats too much. Might be better eh? Pots will be small.

Well I've just read that it wont make much difference in overall heat but I could get the lamp closer to plant. I'm thinking of either M _C's idea or a 125 HPS?

I know I'm mad, but it was a long time ago and I've just remembered I went onto a 300w cfl last time due to heat. Hmm what to do, maybe even a lower CFL?

Btw I've not ignored the point about fire hazard, but I'm going to be there 98% of the time and the time I'm not will be 2 hours max.
