    Default Ph?

    Hello growing in coco and usually fill 2 bin off 80l to add my canna a/b just raised my ec to 1.4 with overdrive and canna a/b. Always have to add ph down as my ph is allway high so ph to 5.8. Today I up the ec and my ph is 5.5 will this be ok just abit worried? There week 6 into flower so will be on flush in a few weeks or so thanks

    That is too low IMO.



    Do you have bicarbonate of soda in the baking cupboard? If so dilute 1 tsp in 1/2 litre of hot water and gently drip in to correct pH.

    It shifts EC and will raise pH quick.

    Ok thanks I’ll try that but didn’t want to shift the ec at the moment?

    As long as the ph is good going in then I wouldn’t worry, your on the ball though seeing it before you just dip a bucket in, I wouldn’t worry one bit though in a run to waste, ph fluctuation hasn’t really got time to work

    Heard some ppl go from 5.5 to 6.5 in flower ?

    I go with 5.9 or 6 in flower after about 3 weeks of stretch, 5.8 5.9 in veg

    I think it's better to let your pH drift a bit, I usually go 5.7 to 6.3. I would not do 5.5 in flower or more than once or twice in a grow because calcium is much harder to uptake each tenth below 5.8.
