    Default Answered: Question on Autos

    Hi guys,

Wondering if I can ask a little help on autos?
I've only done phenos so far but fancied trying autos .. my usual set up is 4 under a 600w hp in 30ltr fabric pots in Coco using canna nutrients.

My question is how much different will I need my setup for autos? Smaller pots? More under a light?

  2. "well i cant tell much more then they already said..
3gal/11l pots is what i use and personally i prefer 16/8 or 18/6 light schedule

the light part is a bit tricky though,
keep in mind autoflowers (normally) yield less than a photo plant and the light has to be on for 16 hours a day which can be expensive when you use hps."

For autos 24-7 is best IMO. They want all the light they can get. JM2C

Ah right thats great cheers! Soo is wattage as important fro yield as with phenos? Would you stick to the 600w or dim them down?

I just do the 2 autos at a time under a 250w HPS, often I run at 24/0 as I use the heat instead of a lights off heater (I try to avoid growing indoors in the summer months)

I have 10L air pots that I use with coco & Canna products - when in soil I was using 9.5L pots, B&Q multipurpose compost & the Old Timers range

Hi Reggie12, I think the 'generally recommended' minimum for autos is 18/6, but I have seen fantastic results under 24/0
