I think there are a lot of 'performance enhancing' measures that are used to create large yields in autos. Gorilla Glue Auto by Autoseeds is what they claim to be the highest yielding auto but the recommendations are to grow it in a higher than natural proportion of CO2 amongst other suggestions. When you read the breeders info on a plant I would definitely take everything with a pinch of salt. They are after all trying to sell them to you and there doesn't seem to be a level playing field in the way these things are calculated. Genetics do make a difference but unless you are growing from clones (which would be a neat trick for autos) then you don't 100% know what the genetics are going to do. 'Stable' only means f4 (4th gen cross), there is a lot of leaway in there to get throwbacks of unexpected phenotypes. Essentially each time you grow a non-clone you are rolling the dice, 'stable' seed strains are relatively stable so it's loaded in your favour but once in a while it'll surprise you. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.
