I know we are all learning all the time but man has been growing plants since time began and if this was a viable or better option we would all be doing it already at a guess ..it don't make sense in my head but then again my head is fucked

If my plants reach 60ft I'll be in a lot of trouble... Maybe it can be done with a 60ft tree, it's impractical to try but not a reason in itself to say it wouldn't work. I'd guess it would stop being effective at the point where the amount of leaves you had to remove (to reduce the strain on the point where water enters, previously roots now stem) means that it is not drawing up with enough pressure to get the water up the height of the plant. That would presumeably come sooner in a 60ft plant, but my plants will probably be 80cm or so and they could be stripped down to 30cm stalks.

All I can suggest is grow some plants and do it yourself ,let us know how you get on ...I ain't no expert but I'll store this method in the file where I put 3 days dark before chop and stem splitting ,and all the other old wives tales

You must know weed has become better over time as people learned how to breed and grow it better though, that hasn't come because everyone carried on doing the same old thing.

If gardro is right and flushing is worthless then yeah, I'm throwing it in that pile too.

What's the point in pissing about, just do a conventional flush whilst the plant still has all its appendages allowing the plant to use up any stored nutes naturally...This is the organic section so assume the OP is growing organic ? Tapper the feed in the last phase of the grow and do a weeks flush that all that's needed..

    spot on bud.
i myself use coco. i start reducing feed in last 10days and run water only for last 3 days.

I cannot tell the difference. The dry and cure is far more important IMO.
