Finally got round to making these damn screens thought I'd share.
You'll need to go on interwebs and search for micron screen, find somewhere that sells the sizes you require. You'll need 3 different variations, I used 240, 150 and 75 micron screens. Idea is you're filtering it in 3 different stages. My screen size was 60cm x 30cm
Buy some wood. I used 30mm wide x 12mm thick and made the 3 frames to match the size of the screens.
I did a rough stain/varnish job but it isn't necessary. Drill pilot holes all round the edge about 4inch apart (watch out for where you screwed the frame together) then put your sheet over and line it up, drill through the sheet in one spot in a corner and screw it down without fully tightening it. Pull the sheet tight and repeat in the opposite corner then go back and tighten the first screw. Then just go round the frame...pilot screen...screw...all the while pulling tight making sure it's still covering the frame on the opposite side.
Do that 3 times and that's about it
I put brackets on each end of each tray so I could drop a bolt in and stop them sliding off each other.
Results..starts blonde gets darker then in to green. The 4th is grinder kief as a comparison, that's not been through the screens.
Definitely be room for improvement in the future, better tools would have been an advantage. Come back to it when I have a plunge router.
