Hi guys I was wondering how long you leave the seeds in paper towel, they where put in midnight Monday and all sunk by 2pm Tuesday, they’re in paper towels at the minute and seem to be doing well (I think) I took these photos 10am this morning (Friday), any advice would much appreciated thanks, And am I right to go into jiffy pellet next in propagator on windowsill?

ive let it grow to 2cm in the past and broken root when repotting. now as soon as the taproot breaks the shell i stick it in root riot cubes until roots penetrate through it.

Cheers Bud Lightyear, is the Tropicana Banana ready to, the taproots not as long which is weird as that seed hit the bottom straight away and was showing taproot after only being in the water for 5hrs, but now seems to be left behind, is this something I should be concerned about? Cheers!

The taproots where massive on 3 (I forgot to take photos damn it) but got them in without any breakages surprisingly as they where practically at the bottom of the jiffy pellets (all but 1), I’ve got them in a propagator (not heated or any light in it, it’s just a cheap basic propagator) where is the best place to stand it, I’ve sprayed the inside of the lid and vents are shut, now at this point does it still need dark or do I put it on a windowsill so it gets sunlight, I know the temp should be between 22c-26c and and a 4c variance between day and night and at around 80% RH but not sure if it needs sunlight now from the sill, I don’t have a T5 tube?!?! Thanks guys, sorry for silly questions but I can’t find out really, the seed heads are just sitting under the surface of the jiffy so I’d have thought windowsill now as they’re in the dark anyways really......aren’t they? Would the U.K day time be enough if it needs light? Someone please shed a bit a light on this for me.....please lol cheers guys!

Everyone has their own method for popping beans

I soak for 24 hours in plain tap water (can add canna rhizotonic or liquid seaweed to the water to help soften the shell) then pour em out straight into the medium in solo cups till they root out, then transplant to their final home.

How many times in nature do the seeds handily blow into paper towels to grow, then blow out and bury em selves once they have a taproot ??

Must say tho I do have massive dinner plate hands and proper clumsy to boot, so small delicate taproots and I don't mix This is the way I find easiest :P

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!
