    Default Problems germinating seeds

Never really had a problem in the past until i started growing again in my new place, iv normally had like 100% germination rate but the past 2 grows i done in this house iv had problems with seeds not germing

So i normally put seeds in water for 24 hours or until sank then into paper towels and on top of the sky box and they normally have a nice tap root by a few days but for some reason the oast two grows iv done iv had maybe 2/4 seeds not crack open and the tap root very small.

I got these cindy jock by zen archer beans off M_C put them into cold boiled water on Tuesday morning then into paper towel on Wednesday l, checked daily and one had a tiny crack open and i could see a little bit of white on Thursday. Iv been really busy the past two days at work and couldn’t check until today, which i was hoping they would be ready to pot up but still look the same as Thursday

I never touch the seeds and always kept in a dark tupperware box

    Any help appreciated

I had a similar thing and just planted them, they took a few days and after I complained about them... they eventually popped and are doing fine now. They were exactly the same germing stage as those in pics when I planted them, well the top one.

I do the same as you, water for 24 hours then paper towel for a day or two. But that paper towel looks soaking, Id say it’s too wet with you

Iv made the same mistake starting out.
Since only damping the tissue (no dripping from the tissue) iv had much better success. Only a wee bit is enough
