Default Hello box fan position with tent/bedroom

    Hi guys my friends set up who doesn't use forums. Got a 6" gekko fan 1000m3 and a mountain air 6" 1000mm. Tent size 2.4 x 1.2 x 2.0m.
The gekko states it shouldn't be on its side. The only way I can do it is sit it in the attic and pipe it down which would be 2 90° bends and about 1m of straight.
Or shall I just sit side ways in the tent?
How's everyone else got their gekko set up with a tent in bedroom?

Joker is unavailable to answer this question and has been in hospital for around 6months recovering from a serious accident.
Can you show me a actual picture of your gekko fan and model number if possible.
Some fans have a tilt sensor on them to stop them running if they fall over.
Some don't last very long if you have them running upside down because It puts excessive pressure on the bearings within the fan .

Yeah the fan really does need to stay on it's side to prevent bearing failure and becoming unbalanced.
The only downside to the 90degree bends is they will slightly reduce or restrict flow . The one meter duct is totally acceptable .

I'm sure joker has his fan and filter in the loft to save space in the tent and pushes through the filter rather than the standard set up of extraction through it

Yeah he does do that but always been told it's really inefficient. If it's got to stay up right then I'll have to sit it in the loft and use 2 90°s to bring it down to CF
