    Default New extractor fan

    Yoo!

I am looking for a new exhaust fan as want to switch to 12/12 next week so will be a bit smelly.

    120x120x200cm tent

I currently run 4 inch swift air fan to air cooled hood.

I have 4 inch carbon filter from swift air as well and looking for a fan that will be good with it.

Im looking at 4inch rhino fan 280 M/3 or I can get 6inch rhino 760 M/3 + fan controller but not sure if 6inch will not burn out the filter and I cant afford another filter.

Also, do you think that I can do well without intake fan? Or just leave the air hood and use the fan for intake?

Cant run 3 fans as I cant afford and I sleep next to my tent and neighbours behind the wall so keeping noise down is important.

    Thanks

I only run one fan on extraction side and don't use a intake at all .
I find this way I achieve much better negative pressure and then I have total peace of mind that no smells can leak out other than from the filter.

I'd also recommend if using a four inch fan get a six inch filter or six inch fan eight inch filter.
This will drastically reduce load on your fan ensuring a good life span of it . Same if using any ducting. Again reducing load on the fan and noise

Do you think that 4 inch fan will do for this tent size?

    Bigger is always better
You could always use a controller

I use one of the swift air fans as an intake. TBH, I don't really think it has the power for extraction

A 4" RVK is nearly three times more powerful, check the rating of your filter mate.

A 6" fan will overwhelm your filter mate

And on the other side 4 inch fan will not replace the air so quick?

Assuming you want to replace due to the current fan being a little underpowered, opt for the 4" fan. The difference between a 4" & 6" fan is huge!
