Cheers Gardro mate, certainly starting to look that way!

Think I’ve just about exhausted every method of communication (short of smoke signals) even tried that come to think of it

Think I’m just going to bite the bullet and see if the place I got it from will exchange it, not trying to be down on ecotechnics customer services by the way! Appreciate these are unprecedented times for all of us, was just hoping someone had experienced the issue before and could tell me ‘yeah mate that’s fucked’ or something along the lines before I sent it back

    Thanks again

Id be checking you have 5v at the microcontroller but depends how handy you are. Its not running its startup sequence so the software isnt running. Seems like a return to base job this

Thaaaaat’s what I’m looking for! Hero

Will go and check that now, I like to think I’m fairly handy haha, I’m a service engineer on CNC machinery and have spent most of my life messing around with motorbikes

Did notice I’m getting mains voltage to all output terminals as soon as it’s plugged in which seemed a little odd

Yeah just doesn’t seem to want to boot up... tried the hard reset (max min and temp buttons held while powering up) but still nothing

Will report back on micro controller voltage

    Nothing to apologise for!

He had a nasty car crash last summer, whilst he's pulled through a lot, his rehabilitation is just really starting - he's been a very lucky man!

Yes mate 0V at the chip (assuming it’s the one mounted on a heat sink?)

Must be a software issue, will get it sent back!

    Thanks for your help!

You’re right mate, customer service is second to none

Managed to get in touch with them today and since they’re just down the road he told me to bring it down to have a look, confirmed a faulty processor which was replaced in two mins so away I went a very happy boy!

Now to get it set up and looking after my babies
