    Default Osmocote

Hey people hope someone can help. Im planning on using a soil mix thats tried and tested with osmocote. Ive heard alot of different things about it and im still open to opinions. But im wondering if i can still use the likes of liquid seaweed or something to help it bloom?

I'd keep away from slow release nutes....

    Hi Steven

This past grow I used Scotts Plus Organics Soil and top dressed with Plus Organics slow release fertiliser and Seasol seaweed solution and Powerfeed (I got the red one but advised to get the purple one next time for flowering)

I went half strength on seasol and powerfeed and just fed plants as I thought needed. Sometimes it was once a week but when I started getting burnt tips on leaves I'd give it a break and amend as needed.

Thanks for the advice man. Have you done autoflowers with this? How do you flush when using osmocote?

No, I grow outdoors photoperoids so it's a different type of grow style.
For flushing I'd do it different to you. As mine are photo's outdoors in pots I just stop feeding couple of months before harvest so they feed off leaves which I remove as they die off over that 2 months, reduces a bit of trimming, opens up buds to light and airflow as they put on weight.
When I've gone heavy handed and needed to flush I'd run water through my pot to run off for a bit then dry out the reservoir and let the soil dry out a bit before slowly introducing very weak nutrients (the seasol and powerfeed - your ok for top dressing with the slow release).
The osmocote plus organics wont harm your grow after a flush as they will continue to release nutes over the 3 mths or 6 ths depending which you use and I stop top dressing couple months before harvest but yeah this is for photos that grow over 7 months or so.
