    Default Flora series

Hi guys. I’m using the 3 part flora series and quickly found that I was adding way too much nutrients following their chart. Can anyone guide me to a realistic guide or maybe even a percentage level?

    Thanks

Forget charts, guides or percentages. It doesn't work like that

Learn to read a plant & get a decent EC meter & just feed the plant what it wants rather than a rigid chart that says all plants feed the same....

Just back off what you're feeding about 30 or 40% and see how they do. sometimes when I'm trying out a new nutrient company I'll feed full strength right from the seedling stage just to see what happens, I've never been able to feed a real young plant to full strength but I've often been able to do it when they get more mature.

That was my next question, my plants have dropped from 300ppm to 200ppm after a few days. I know this means it needs more food but can I add the nutrients straight into my res and if so how much?

Ye. Tried full strength and it was too much. They stopped growing. Just got them back on track

I'm going to find you a link on how to feed and hydro, it's based more on your pH and total dissolved solids in your res.

So in Woody's instructions what you want to do is measure water level nutrient level total dissolved solids or EC and your pH over time, keeping track your results.

You can figure out real quick whether your plant wants more nutrients or perhaps less and sometimes the problem is simply not enough oxygen in the reservoir. Very very rarely it's about too much oxygen in the reservoir.
