Quantum Boards - with or without far red 660nm

What are the differences in terms of yields, as I could get 4 Qbs without it or 3 QBs with it for the same price.

Wonder if 4 pieces would be more effective, total space is 2.00 x 1.00 sqm, divided to 1.2sqm and 0.8 sqm


P.s
I could take a 320w HLG (+660nm) instead of one of the 240s, but its 100cm and will fit only in the 1.2 tent.

So could do 1x320w hlg(+660nm) + 2x240w (without 660nm) in the 1.2 tent, and just one 240 in the 0.8 tent, may support it with a 250w hps..

I would go 2 x 240's in the big space, it will allow you to cover the entire area evenly, and a single 240 in the smaller space.

What ever you go with will be a hell of a nice setup

Far red is 730nm not 660nm which is deep red.

4 boards of white light will deliver a whole load more than a few red leds on 3 boards so thats what id get.

The red leds are for marketing just so they can say the umol per J is a tiny bit more. You will be a tiny bit less efficient with the older plain white, but really not noticeable.

In fact, the older lights came with HLG ( as in Meanwell not the lighting co) drivers which were more efficient than the XLG drivers that come with later lights so the difference isnt worth it.

ELG are around 5% more wasteful than HLG
