    Default Struggling with humidity

    Hi

    Tent size 2x2x1
    RVK 6" 430 m3 an hour
    Parlux 1000w set to 600w
    In soil
Temp is 25c lights on 18 night.
Its in a room ambient temp about 20c

Seeds popped last Saturday so planted them then, they've grown to about 3" all in different stages.

I've got water in bowls in each corner, a wet towel hanging up and still my humidity is at 31%.

Do I need a fan controller or a humidifier? Both?

    Am I missing something here?

    Cheers

    I assume you are UK?

It is not humid currently. Even less so in a modern house.

If money is tight... get a dehumidifier that works over a humidifier IMO. The U.K. is wet and bud rot is far bigger an issue.

If you can afford, both is best. Make sure you get high litre versions or you will regret it.

Both will add $$$ to your bills.

I run both, humidifier in veg tent.

Oh a fan controller - controls tent temperature as a rule. So, ultimately you will need to decouple humidity and temperature automation/control.

As such you need both controllers. Inkbird are good and cheap IME.

Sorry, lastly, 2 x 2 x 1 is a pretty large volume of air to control!!! Nice!

    Happy growing.

    Yeah UK.

Moneys not a massive issue, obviously I don't want to be spending unnecessarily but don't mind getting what I need.

So get a dehumidifier instead of a humidifier when I've said my humidity is low??

What about cranking the lamp up?

To be honest mate my humidity was like 30-40% and had no humidifier but after few weeks when plants grown big I had to buy dehumidifier as it was like 99% lol .

What I think Jumper says is that it is better to buy dehumidifier than humidifier if your tight on money as it will difinitely be more needed later to avoid any bud rot etc

So starting off at 30% isn't going to screw things up?

Nah! I grow perpetual ... humidity is < 40% and I see no issues. If you can get higher humidity it is best at the beginning.

Skunk or not - just a weed ;-)

You need to be growing OK girls - for the above!
