Default 1st time grower from seed

I’m new on here and think this site is cool and helpful. My first post, so here it is. Buddy gave me a cloned black water plant last year that I grew out side and it yielded around 12 ounces. It was my first plant and from what he said did really good. About 5-8 seeds came out of it and I started my first from seed grow in late march to start it indoors before I was ready to regrow outdoors. Been growing it in happy frog and been doing great, lately it’s getting pale leaves. I wanna get a ph reader and have no clue what to buy. I been using that nova stuff every 3 or so feedings in a 7 gallon cloth pot. Don’t wanna mess it up, so that’s why I’m here asking for some info

Welcome aboard, for a first investment you might look for in EC trenchant rather than a pH meter. When in soil I think it's better to know how much minerals are in your background water and what your feed level is then knowing your pH.

Are you getting plenty of runoff when you water? That's important when you're feeding any general hydroponics nutrients.
