Default No pistils on 1x plant - does that mean not going to flower?

    Hi all,

Apols for the super n00b question:

Got a few Amnesia Haze Autos. All from seed, germinated, planted and treated the same from day 1.

One of the plants isn't producing any pistils (at least not to my untrained eye). The others have started over the last week or so.

I've included photos of both - one with pistils and the one without.

Are the areas highlighted by the arrow pistils? If so, they don't look like the ones on the other plants (see other photo).

If not pistils, does this mean the plant is not going to flower? Can I do anything about this?

I think the answer is likely to be no pistils yet.

They're females and therefore impossible to predict.
I'd love to do it and you know you've always had it coming

Looks like one is more developed that the other.... hence one flowering & the other not...

Looks like you're just starting to get some stipulles up there where you got your arrow, they come first.

Still nothing on the problem plant. The other plants are developing more and more pistils. Oh well.

Having a read around on the forum, sounds like the Royal Queen Seeds have a bit of a rep for not flowering?

I think you just have to wait mate.

You can wait for other replys but dont think you can force the pistills to grow.

Ive got photos from RQS so cant talk about autos .

    How old are ur plants?

Hello Adiaanoo, I'd estimate about 6 weeks.

These three plants are doing well:

I presume it's too early to add any Canna PK 13/14 to the pistil endowed plants?

Yes, I admit am getting somewhat impatient. I suppose I'm just concerned about the disparity between the plants and that such a delay suggests the problem plant may not flower at all.

In retrospect, I should have chosen a quicker flowering auto rather than Amnesia Haze but lesson learnt for next time.

Probably just a late developer but sometimes with auto's, they just dont 'auto.' I think in my past 2-3 grows I had auto's that still showed no signs of flowering for 60-70 days so had to flip them 12/12. Luck of the draw these days Im afraid.

I've never had an auto fail to flower automatically, many have taken up to 35 days in my grow room before they show pre-flowers. you are growing amnesia haze which can be quite stretchy and might take a little longer.

NO PK right now, wait for solid little buds to start and build it up as you reduce the N.

I just saw that these are royal queens seeds, I haven't really grown royal queen. I did buy a pack of photo period Alaskan Thunderfuck and I only grew one seed last year and it was a full on male, so I'm not feeling totally confident about royal queen these days.

Patience is a virtue and all good things come to he who waits.

Finally pistils have emerged on the problem plant. TBF, it does have the best leaves of all the plants, so ultimately may be the most successful in the long term. We'll see!
