Default No pistils on 1x plant - does that mean not going to flower?

    Hi all,

Apols for the super n00b question:

Got a few Amnesia Haze Autos. All from seed, germinated, planted and treated the same from day 1.

One of the plants isn't producing any pistils (at least not to my untrained eye). The others have started over the last week or so.

I've included photos of both - one with pistils and the one without.

Are the areas highlighted by the arrow pistils? If so, they don't look like the ones on the other plants (see other photo).

If not pistils, does this mean the plant is not going to flower? Can I do anything about this?

I think the answer is likely to be no pistils yet.

They're females and therefore impossible to predict.

Looks like one is more developed that the other.... hence one flowering & the other not...

Looks like you're just starting to get some stipulles up there where you got your arrow, they come first.

Still nothing on the problem plant. The other plants are developing more and more pistils. Oh well.

Having a read around on the forum, sounds like the Royal Queen Seeds have a bit of a rep for not flowering?

I think you just have to wait mate.

You can wait for other replys but dont think you can force the pistills to grow.

Ive got photos from RQS so cant talk about autos .

    How old are ur plants?

Hello Adiaanoo, I'd estimate about 6 weeks.

These three plants are doing well:

I presume it's too early to add any Canna PK 13/14 to the pistil endowed plants?

Yes, I admit am getting somewhat impatient. I suppose I'm just concerned about the disparity between the plants and that such a delay suggests the problem plant may not flower at all.

In retrospect, I should have chosen a quicker flowering auto rather than Amnesia Haze but lesson learnt for next time.
