When Herb says photo. He's talking about a plant that will flower on a light schedule as the days grow shorter. The other type is an autoflower which will just start to flower irregardless of how long your days are. So when you have days that are 12 hours or less photo period strains will flower.

When you pot up mate mix in atleast 10-20% perlite as some of these soils can get quite compact as the weeks pass by and itll help with drainage

Any thoughts on removing the crispy leaves so the other ones might grow so the plants can survive?

If you haven't guessed, this is my first time attempting to grow.

If they are 100% crispy then go ahead and pluck them off, later in the grow I would say take them all off. But, you just don't have that many leaves right now so if the crispiness is a bother to you just whack it off like in the picture

Have you figured out your problem yet? I might agree with the over/under watering as the cause of the crispiness. Probably underwatering.

I think it's probably a combination of stuff. I think I might've been overwatering after seeing videos of people only watering them once every few days. And I think the intense heat and sun didn't help. and I'm sure the Nitrogen we added wasn't helpful either, but some of the leaves were yellowing and the good ole internet said it was due to nitrogen deficiency.

There's so much conflicting information out there and because it's my first time it's really confusing.

The weird thing to me is I've been doing the same exact thing to all of them and I have one that's doing really well.

It's all very confusing, really. It's sort of like a backyard mechanic if his exhaust sensor is throwing a code he'll run and replace that sensor, but what's really going on is something upstream like the fuel mixture air mixture or something else. So yeah yellow leaves are usually nitrogen deficient or magnesium deficient or iron deficient, all those things are required to make chlorophyll. But you can recreate just about any kind of deficiency by over or underwatering or by getting bugs in your root zone, or even applying too much of the wrong kind of light, so just giving nutrients is rarely if ever the answer.

Ya, not a fan. I was hoping it would be a lot easier than it is considering it's a weed. lol. I know some people get crazy about it.

I think I'm just going to let them chill for a few days. The soil is still moist so I'll let that dry up and then go from there. I know one of them is probably a goner but I'm hoping the other's will bounce back because they have newer leaves that don't seem affected.
