Default Moving new plants from tubes to HPS.

    Hi

In an earlier thread I mentioned that my plants had stretched which is due to not enough light. They're under some fluorescent tubes about 3 inches away now and are doing fine, second set of leaves are out and they're all looking good.

When do I switch to the main light? I've got a 1000w Parlux which can be set to 600w, 750w, 1000w and 1150w. I can move the light so its in the correct lumen range but am unsure on when to make the change.

    Cheers

How big are the plants now?
    Is it a HPS?
    What stage are they at?

I'd veg them under your tubes then use the HPS when you want to flower them

Oh right, I thought that these lights would only be good for seedlings. Cheers though.

Actually I'd be making the change right now, start with your light high like 30 inches and lower until you get it correct or turn it to a lower setting and go with your light recommends.
I think krazy is thinking your using a "tube" type hps, not those t-12 florescents.
