Default 2nd grow Mistakes have been made

    Hi Everyone,
getting towards the end of my second grow which I saw as a learning curve, trying out LST for the first time and using some bought seeds and freebies which came with them various varieties. Thought I would share with you. please feel free t point out my mistakes, I am looking for constructive critisism and tips to improve.

    Grow space - DS90 90x90x170
    Lights - LED Migro 300
    Vent - 4" inline fan
Medium - plant magic soil supreme in 6.5l pot
Nutes - little bio silicon?? the OT Bloom in flowering 1 to 2 ml per litre
    Seeds - All Autos
    Started with:
1x Girl Scout Cookies (didn't pop)
    1x White Moscow
1x Auto AK47 (discontinued old seed)
    1x Sweet Gelato
    2x Green Crack

About 2 weeks later I added:
    1x Malana Bomb
    1x Girl Scout Cookies
    1x Blueberry Mango

Soaked seeds in water in dark for 48 hours then straight into finishing pots.

Used Plant Silicne?? (sorry I cant remember the name) sparingly during veg.
Fed OT bloom at 3 weeks 1ml/ltr and nute burned most of the earlier starters (something I seem to have a habit of - see pics)
Started the OT Bloom a week later with other 3 which worked ok.

Have LST most of them to some extent, only Malana Bomb and GSC havent been touched. I wanted to compare untrained and trained, also these 2 were very stocky and squat in veg and I was scared of snapping them (again!). These two looked strange in veg, more like rubber plants than weed and I thought they were some genetic mutants, but they look really good now.
I read an LST tutorial and when plants were big enough to bend to the edge of the pot I used pipe cleaners and paperclips to anchor them bend the stems, I managed to snap the stem of one Green Crack. It was ok when I left it but snapped next morning when I checked them, it has recovered reasonably well all things considered.

Overall I am fairly happy with these and the second batch of three have definitely benefitted from the mistakes I inflicted on the first but I think I still have some way to go getting to grips with nutes and watering. Still get a lot of nute burn on some (didn't know nute tolerance varied so much plant to plant - if thats even a thing ) and I was definitely letting them get too dry for a few weeks but think Im improving there.

Hoping to get some decent smoke out of these, comments good and bad most welcome these pics are from about 5 days ago.
I will post second batch in a post below as only 5 pics allowed.

Can anyone give me some advice on harvesting, I know roughly when to harvest, but how critical is it to get is spot on, will a few days early/late make much difference.
I am looking for a good head high with not too much couch lock.
I have a pocket microscope to inspect trichs but have read lot of conflicting advice abut clear/coudy/ambe amd Im not sure on pistils either.
I appreciate the harvest times are just a guide but how far out can they be?
My Sweet Gelato should be ready this week but looks a bit soon from my novice eye, what do you think if you can tell me anything from my not great pics.

Alright man, you got something to check the trichs with, microscope, loupe? I can get a ok zoomed in shot on a samsung s10+. There's a chart somewhere if you google it showing you when to harvest, depending on what kind of smoke you want, generally you'll want some amber trichs at least.

Thanks for the heads up, having had another look, the Sweet Gelato is almost ready (mostly cloudy and a little amber on main cola), i would say 2 or 3 days and the AK47 still has a little time to go(loads of crystals but only about 30% cloudy trichs on colas).
Next question, should I feed only water for last week or does it not matter? I gave the Sweet Gel and AK just water last time a couple of days ago, should I continue with that or does it not matter with organic nutes?

Some ppl say 1 week some say 2, some say it doesn't matter in soil with organic and don't bother with a flush period. I intend to do a week flush from now on and then let it go bone dry before I chop. I use soil and organic nutes.

Organic soil doesn't need a flush but i would recommend a longer drying phase to pull more of the chlorophyll out of the plant. I don't grow organic, but do have a fella who's exclusive (teas and everything) and his stuff is always on point, solid nugs, sweet smoke and potent stench.

    Thats interesting Karsa,
Never heard to not wash soil.

So u sayin hydrophonics and coco needs to be washed? Was this tested? As i am getting a hunch feeling coco does not need to be washed and a perfect dry will do better than a week of no nutes.
