I believe you were stating much the same, but in A higher % rate. JMO

Oh the good old days back when I was growing if you got half a gram per watt that was considered almost an excellent yield or certainly experience now I'm coming back and seeing 1g/pw and even higher in some places , back in the day a few claimed this with 1000w hps etc but never much to back it up , so I shouldn't look at the wattage as much as the the par spread etc from what I've seen on YouTube these lights seem pretty solid overall and yeah ingress protection is rather important as my area can get rather dusty at times and I've done cheap and flimsy in the past and learnt my lesson , those quantum boards look really good like the spread out strips one with a gap in between each ? Sorry for the way I describe it haha but they just seem a little on the flimsy side and more prone to problems but better yields etc correct me if I'm wrong this is all new to me

Appreciate all the knowledgeable ones showing up

I don't think I have ever got more than 1/2 gram per watt, since I been growing with older LED's and HPS, and don't really know of any one ever getting more than about .8 grams per watts, and those are all the professional. I never seen anywhere that I can remember that some actually got 1 gram per watt. jmo

Exactly my thoughts .. I know leds have come a long way but some of this talk about 1 - 1 and a half gram per watt just seems completely alien to me .. someone said experience grower could get 400gs with this 300300w light I just can't wrap my head around it because I was always under the assumption it was the wattage that created the brightness and intensity of the light in a simple manner , I know it's a lot more complicated than that but yeah , I'm thinking about giving her a go and just finding out for myself and running a couple of my own tests its been so long and sometimes statistics all get thrown out the window and it's upto actual experimentation

This autoflower yielded north of 430 grams of good quality weed on a 325 watt LED. Of course, it was my best yield ever under one of those lights and my actual average is around 12 to 14 oz per light.

    Thank you very much

I just read a couple interesting reviews on these lights and people have tested that light output to that similar of a 600w so I guess it's well within the ballpark depending on strain and environmental factors , think it's the wattage and all the fancy jargon the manufactures use confuses people a bit I know it does me haha also seen a couple reviews about similar yields to a 600w hps , I guess the only way to truly know is get stuck in and find out

I studied everything there was to know about LEDs about 7 years ago when I bought my lights maybe 8 years ago and it's changed so much that I don't know a damn thing anymore other than I'm going to keep my lights cuz they do everything I want. When you think about that, that's seven or eight years of growing without changing out one bulb. I have replaced two fans in one unit but that's it.

Exactly the way I see and the durability of these things seem second to none . I've had soo many bulbs burn out over the years and even the most expensive hoods for the hps still look flimsy and I never like the way the heat was distributed or the hotpots on the canopy , think I'm gonna have to invest a little time and money in to these , they seem to cover all the durability needs and everything I have and I've found nothing bad on yields or even bud quality , thanks for your experience sometimes stats and all that go out the window a little practical knowledge goes a lot further

Its only about number of photons absorbed in a 24 hour period ( DLI ) (upto a limit )

Gram per watt is floored as a metric and only helpful to those comparing precisely same grow equipment and schedule.

Gram per kw day would be more useful, which is proportional to day light integral.

Lol I done the same about 9 years ago,I was starting to get a grasp of it all then I moved to Canada and stopped growing until now, going with a trusty 600w HPS until I see some grow diaries using LED's.
