    Default LED Driver temperature

    Just checked the temperature on the driver on top of the LED and it come back at 49.5 degrees will that be ok as its got me a bit worried i have the carbon filter right next to it an a fan blowing close to it aswell just wanted to see if any LED pro's could tell me if it will be ok thanks

    50 degrees?? is it turned off? they do get hot yes and that temp is fine. It is the reason most people like to keep the drivers out of the groom. Handy to have them in in winter if you need to keep the temps up a touch more

    Sorry i meant 50°c an that's with it on about 70 %power i wish i could but without taking it apart i can't move it out the tent yet cheers anyway fella

    Yeah I work in Celcius too they can handle it. The meanwell ones are rated upto 85c I believe

    If your groom is say 25-30 and the driver is 50 then thats not bad at all.

    Meanwell HLG series drivers give off around 25W of heat for 500w of electricity that they transfer. Not going to make a jot of difference to room temp ( dont confuse with hps ballasts etc )

    Some led companies sell " the most efficient samsung this and that " but then supply inefficient drivers. A complete fail when you look at system efficacy.

    Yeah it's roughly been around that the last few days an with this weather

    just wasn't too sure as its all new to me still lol iv got a 400w hps in there aswell so things are going to be on the warmer side anyways just wanted to make sure appreciate the help fella
