Default switching from led to hps soil to coco

    afternoon guys.
looking at changing up my equipment im currently running with 2 mars hydro sp250 in a 1.2 tent with light mix soil and autopot system, just ordered a 600watt hps (super lumens), cool hood and canna coco.
i will be keeping the same canna brand nutes and all the rest of my setup the same apart from an addition of a rvk fan for the cool hood

couple of reasons for my change-
ive never grown with hps (curiosity)
heat issues with the hot days (room temps hitting 34c)

is there going to be much of a benefit from the change over?
is there anything else ill need to change or watch out for?

i will be keeping the leds to one side and depending on my results will sell either on fleebay

    cheers

Are you using same grow space to conduct your side by side?

    Yes mate.
Same space, same equipment apart from the light and grow media.

Do you think i will see much difference?

    Far too much light imho.

480w led and 600w hps wont fit.

The cool tube will remove some convective heat but wont do much with the radiative infra red so what plans for removing the extra couple of thousand BTUs? Those 34 degrees will be 54.

You will also have both spectrum applied across both plants so have you need a partition or separate tent altogether to conclude much.

I like the idea a lot but not as simple as it seems to do side by side. Also probably not good idea while learning a new medium.

Sorry mate we have a misunderstanding lol
I'm not growing side by side....
I'm swapping from led soil to coco hps.

I've had a few beers already, joys of beer on tap

Correct me if I'm wrong .. this could be an urban myth but years and years ago a lot of people were babbling on about negative pressure in the groom and hps bulbs exploding .. I'm sure most of them were idiots touching the bulbs with bare hands and leaving oil etc but I've had issues with heat and hps in the past to the point the walls of my tent were getting sucked in .. did make me wonder haha

Ive never used an LED past seedling stage,I have however used 600w HPS countless times.
600w HPS and coco will be good,it always is unless you use the coco bricks and don't rinse them first.

I've just cut down my recent white widow grown with the mentioned led lights, for all they do look impressive i think they lack density.

I'm not going with coco bricks, got a bag of canna coco ready with a 50/50 mix clay balls for my autopot system
