Led for veg

Hi all, I'm looking for a bit advice on using led for vegging. The led I've got is 900w viperspectre, I've done a full grow with these before and it wasn't the best. So I'm thinking of using this for veg then swap to hps for flower one reason is lower electric cost and other reason is lower heat. Does anyone think this is a good idea or is it likely to affect my crop so use hps in veg?

Any led is probably better than hps for flower.

You can use an mh bulb for veg with the hps lighting kit. This will give really tight nodes too. I use hps for both but because I'm cheap, I'll do my next with MH and HPS bulbs as I wanna try something ^^ I was looking at LED for solutions regarding loft grows etc... So post up what you think between the two.
