Is this ok to have the fan/filter located? Air will be pushed straight up. Doin a cupboard but space is limited til pepsi's done

I think its best to stay horizontal so the charcoals inside the filter stay even all throughout it

I’ve got a similar issue, in my small 60cm x 60cm tent. The fan/filter is too big so I’ve got that sitting outside the tent and just suck it out using ducting

Works for me mate, I could sit it horizontally but I haven’t got around to sorting it
I’ve grew my white widow in there, plus I’ve got my Pepsi bottle grow going and not a single whiff yet

I am thinking of removing the fan and filter from my tent and running external.

Currently I use two carbon filters ... which is my preference... (one inside, one out) but I need the headroom:-(. Moving the fan and filter to an external cupboard enables me to hang the QB ~ 35 cm higher minimum!

I will use a silencer from fan to filter as I currently use. :-)

Yes that would work if you can manage to put it in that position. I've done horizontal and vertical, not much difference if its inside the tent. You can even put it outside the tent but its less effective.

idealy you want to connect the extractor to the filter with no ducting. just heat/gorilla tap for seal and wide clamp for securing it. this ensures all air passes through the filter first before being extracted
