When I had an allotment I used to put a hessian sack full of rotted cow manure into a rain barrel tied of at the top and use the tea it made for tomato and cucumber plants etc' excellent stuff, pretty sure that's similar to what some of these organic nutes are by the smell of it.

Couldn't help myself today and bought an Opata cherry Plum tree for the back yard,it already had 9 plums growing on it in the 5gallon pot it was in at the garden center so I figure it will be a healthy heavy fruiting bugger once it roots in my yard, plenty of other fruits around it for pollination and it will give me some privacy at the spot that I want to put a greenhouse.

I was reading about the tree of 40 fruits today,a couple of those bad boys would be fantastic in the yard.

Went to the local Canadian Tire and met the the new owner while I was looking at a double flowering plum tree priced at $70,he said I could have it for $40 SOLD lol, planted it where it will give me some privacy for where I put my permanent greenhouse.

Harvested a load of strawberries from the shrubs I planted a couple of months ago lol, also had a small harvest from my cupid cherry tree only about 30 cherries but I only planted her a few months ago and didn't expect anything until next year anyway.
