Default What else do you grow?

Was wondering what else you guys grow other than the mighty herb?

I was never interested in gardening, but I have a huge back yard and started getting fed up with it so I decided to do some research and see what I can grow on the Canadian prairies where in winter I have seen it drop below -43 and in summer +32 lol, after my research I decided to plant the following over the past couple of months:
Cupid cherry tree-this has started to fruit already.
Crimson Passion cherry tree-this has started to fruit also
    Strawberries-starting to fruit
Gooseberrie-started to fruit until the dogs demolished the plant(maybe next year lol)
Combination Plum tree(3 types of plum grafted onto 1 tree) this has started to fruit.
    Combination pear tree(as above)
    Raspberries-the dogs destroyed these.
Arctic Kiwi Vines-I just planted a male and 2 females and protected them with tomato cages from the dogs haha.

I'm gonna hit my friends farm next weekend and dig up a load of wild strawberry bushes for along my back fence, also considering another couple of fruit trees, hoping that the kids prefer eating all this fruit to candy lol.

Nice post brother and sounds like you gotta bit of a sweet tooth there buddy i have a small garden witch is more like a yard in itself as it's maybe 90% concrete and paving so i mostly have to grow in pots, grow mostly flowers and climbers but last week bought myself an apple tree then a plum tree only to get the plum tree home and potted up to realise it's a fuckin' damson and only really edible as for making jams chutneys and sauces etc' so it's back to the nurseries for a proper plum tree and maybe another apple variety, happy gardening brother

I do love a nice old cherry tree. Fully developed they are beautiful.

A well trained pear or apple tree against a wall / fence always impresses me as well.

I have a few fruit trees and usual array of veg going ; potato, carrot, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, onions, spring onions, numerous beans and brassicas, leaves and chard.

    Doh forgot the 15 chillis!

Lockdown has kept me very busy! My front garden is more a vegetable allotment now :-)

Wow sounds brilliant Jumper brother you can't beat home grown produce much better than shop bought because you don't know what's been added to shop bought nowerdays.

These cherry trees only grow about 10' tall, they were specially developed by the University of Saskatchewan for the Canadian prairie winters.
