upped EC today to 1.0 and raised the pots closer to the light. pots getting lighter quicker so gonna start feeding daily now.
i think a few more days and i will be sticking them in their final pots.

one will be mostly under MH/HPS and the other mostly under LED. light coverage crosses over.

fed few hours ago so this is yesterdays update. feed came out at 1.0 so kept it like that. realised how young they actually are so its a good thing.

heat has been a bit much and even though they look good under 31c, ive decided to increase distance to light a few inches. also gonna keep them under the MH until next week and then switch on the led at 110w veg mode one mostly under MH/HPS and other mostly under LED. both getting a bit of the other.

ill be topping and potting up tomorrow (actually today). the distance to light will be increase to 2ft. maybe a bit more as i need some space between nodes for the initial training i do. will help with heat too.

so far, genetics look really good.

    DAY 5 OF VEG

    400w MH on left + Marshydro1200 (veg mode 110w) on right. 24/7 @ 2ft 4" away (LED about half a foot higher)
temp at intake 24c - at canopy 29c
    RH 40%
    EC 1.1
    PH 5.5

so, today i upped the feed to 1.1.
i also turned on the LED in veg mode consuming 110w and spread the plants out across both lights.

for position reference, i'm showing the whole setup with my other plants in (link to diary in sig).

they are positioned as follows... top row from left to right is L1--GSC1--GSC2--L6. the bottom row from left to right is L2--L3--L4--L5. and bang in the middle is the Zkittles. resting on other stands.
one mostly under MH/HPS and other mostly under the LED. both in the lights crossover zone.
    hopefully topping tomorrow.

    and here they are...

so, last night i fed both, topped above 5th node and removed first 2 set of leaves.
branching report will be done after topping takes effect and promotes lower growth in next few days. its looking good on both though. out of everything in the space, they have the biggest but least amount of leaves. lovin it!

    DAY 15 OF VEG

Been feeding daily and reduced EC back to 1.0 cos of defoliation and training.
ive also just remembered that i was actually meant to top them all above the 3rd node not the 5th. next time i guess...

    400w MH + Marshydro1200 (veg mode 110w) on 24/7 @ 2ft 4" away (LED about half a foot higher)

they both got leaves and first nodes on each branch removed in prep for training a few days ago. all first fan leaves are now gone too.
today, they got trained a bit but i ran out of soft ties so will do a bit more in a few days.

as you can see, they need a bit more training and few more leaves removed.

both are similar phenos. will be able to tell properly when ive cloned them and flipped round the lights to see how they do under the other.
hoping for one of them to the the KRONIK, Fam!!

    DAY 22 OF VEG

    Been feeding daily.sometimes twice.
yesterday i did what is most likely their final bit of training before i flip to flower. also removed a bunch of leaves.
didnt get any before pics though. was a bit stoned and forgot.

at this stage i also like to clean up the top of the coco a bit. after a few weeks of feeding, the top can go a bit stiff and dry. i rubbed off the top 2-3mm with my fingers and removed all the loose stuff on all of them.

    DAY 27 OF VEG

upped EC to 1.2 and been feeding daily. no more rhizotonic.

was meant to flip to 12/12 a few days ago but have been waiting on rooting gel and some neem repel.
now they have arrived, i have taken a clone or 2, removed a few more leaves and will be flipping to 13/11 today.

spotted a few critters in there and will be spraying neem repel when lights go out.
havent used it before but have read its ok to use during the preflower stage.

after first dark period we now have day 1 of 13/12. no pics today. just a quick few notes.

i was unsure if my neem repel is any good after having it for so long so didnt use it.
instead i lay a sheet of yellow sticky trap on each pot.

    DAY 3 OF 13/11

    400w MH + Marshydro1200 (Full power 509w) on 13/11 off @ 1.5ft above canopy
temp at intake 24c - at canopy 29c on and 25c off.
    RH 40-50%
    EC 1.2 (A+B and Cannazyme)
    PH 5.7

LED now on full power and will be replacing the 400w MH with a 600w dual spec HPS in the next 5 days or so. depending on the amount of stretch i see in that time.
the dual spec should also help induce flower faster. i think...

critters seem to be thrips so ive been looking into a few ways to deal with them and have come across a product which seems to be able to do a good job. [B]C-No Insects 4C-Field/B], if anyone is interested.

    thanks for popping by
