Okay so in my local hydro store they have like 70% off all 5 L Canna bottles.

I got 5 L Rhizotonic for 25$ its stupid cheap... Cheaper than 1 L bottle...

But what are your thoughts specifically about using an expired Rhizotonic (2019), and any other Canna product

Guess they will be past their best. Canna needs to do some marketing over there man, stock is usually days old at my local for the staples at least

I had some PK last year that had aged badly. It would pH ok but be 20 points lower after a couple of days in the 'voir. Chemistry had completely changed.

Expired nutes are fine for your garden borders & hanging baskets.... but there is a reason they are expired... you won't see them in my grow room

CANNA nutrients and additives always have a “Best-before” date on the back of the bottle or can. CANNA guarantees that until this date the quality and effect of the product will be optimal. Conditional to the products stored and handled the right way and not opened yet. The date serves as a quality insurance for CANNA products and it guarantees it's freshness. The length of time for each products has been determined by extended testing over the years.

Our products are still safe for usage after their best-before date has passed, however the product might gradually lose it's effect compared to the high standards we have set to it. Note that they will never become toxic for plants, these are not “expiry” dates. However depending on how the products were handled over that period of time, they may become less effective. The way the product changes after it's best-before date all depends on storage and on the working ingredients within the product.

Surely the risk isn't worth it with a crop like this?

Reminds me: There was a guy in the chatbox a few months ago asking if he should mix up a fresh bottle of Epsom salts spray...that's 1tsp of Epsom salts v taking a chance.

Imagine having a formula, the holy grail that grew out your plants perfectly.

Then there was a bottle of the same that was not toxic but beyond its best. It had been stored in light so the chelated iron, copper etc are no longer available for the plant. That plant would be really really shit.

    Thanks everyone!!

So my conclusions are, I was damn lucky to get a 2021 exp. 5 Liters of Canna A and B for 25$ each. (Got it last month and didnt check the exp!)

And for Rhizo being so god damn expensive, i wouldnt mind if it degraded a bit.. tbh.. same 5 Liters would cost me 250$! Fekin 10 times more... So ill use more rhizo if needed guess i wont even notice.. and im not gona purchase old pk or base nutes thanks for clarifying that everyone
