all fans make a noise. putting them in a sound insulated box is the cheapest most effective way to quiet them down.

I don't want to comment on size needed as I don't know if your measurements are in feet or meters and what kind of lights / media your using, but if your worried about the loss of space you'll lose by putting your fan in a box then I guess its feet?

if it is feet then maybe consider soundproofing the whole tent, build it out of Kingspan and ply, cover the outside in felt or carpet, get creative if stealth is your thing. the bonus with a soundproof grow box rather than a tent is it quiets the nose of anything you put inside it, fans pumps ballasts etc.

    is it 3x2x2 or 2x2x3?

the first is ok for seedlings, clones or a small mother plant unter t5s or a small led.
the second, at most i would do 1 plant under a small led. without some experience, many struggle to grow with 3ft of height. training is a must!

fan and filter wise.. a 4inch would suffice. look for min of around 250-300cfm rating on both.
the smaller extractor un a bit quieter.

now, if you measurements are in meters, silenced extractor for a space that big is quite expensive. a fan and filter kit costs upwards of 500£
